Ken Lingenfelter
Born the son of a General Motors executive, Ken grew up with a lust for stylish high performance cars. As a lifelong car enthusiast, Ken pursued his passion for racing, collecting and building performance cars.
In 2008, his passion for speed racing excellence led him to purchase the assets of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE), www.lingenfelter.com a company founded by his distant relative John Lingenfelter. Many of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering products have been instrumental in establishing performance thresholds. The company is now 46 years old and continues to be the country’s leader in aftermarket engineering and performance products and parts.
In addition to the ownership of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Ken is the owner of The Lingenfelter Collection www.lingenfeltercollection.com. The collection consists of over 200 of the world’s most popular muscle cars, exotic cars and Corvettes and is said to be in the top 8 best collections in the world. The mission of the car collection is charity fundraising, and it is responsible for thousands of dollars being raised for some very important national and local charities. Ken continues to add significant collector cars and performance cars to the collection and participates in concourses, auctions, racing events and automotive shows all over the world.
Ken currently serves on the board for the Concours d’Elegance of America at St. Johns and is a past honorary chairperson for the EyesOn Design Car Show – Detroit. Ken is also a Trustee on the Board of Directors for Northwood University.
