The 14th Annual DAC Car Club show on May 29 was sold out!

More than 230 people walked among some 50 phenomenal cars at the DAC Pavillion and street between the club and Comerica Park.

Attendees heard from Car Club member Ken Lingenfelter about upcoming events prior to keynote remarks from Indianapolis Motor Speedway President J. Doug Boles.  Boles wowed the group with an animated talk about the history of the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

He also talked about how the 1909 IMS home of motor sports has been transformed under the ownership and management of the Penske organization investing millions into the museum and facilities. Chairman Roger Penske is a member of the DAC Car Club as is Vice President Michael Montri. We are grateful for their assistance in arranging Mr. Boles address to the DAC Car Club.

The weather was sunny and perfect and the DAC backlot array of luncheon foods with five salads, hot dogs, pulled pork, chicken, sliders and deserts was enjoyed by the gathering. Many complimented that it may well have been the best if not one of the DAC Car Show ever!

“We had a picture perfect day, incredible engaging speaker in Doug Boles and great cars from Packards to a 2026 Ferrari and much more,” said Bruce Babiarz, President of the Car Club. “We also brought to the club the 1916 Packard owned by DAC President and Packard Motor Company President Henry B. Joy. Awesome to see this car back at the club for the first time in some 110-years.”
