The DAC Car Club held its 5th annual dinner and a movie night on March 16, 2025
With some 50 people enjoying great wine, Italian food catered from Crisppellis at the amazing Mendelson collection.
It was the fourth-straight year that Lauren and David Mendelson greeted guests at their collection of exotic and supercars and showed a classic movie. This year the pick was “Viva Las Vegas” from the 60’s featuring Elvis Presley as a race car driver who also happens to sing! Lauren arranged for a surprise visit from a guy she saw at the Burger King in Kalamazoo after picking up one of her cars from the Gilmore Museum. Turns out the guy used to live in Memphis before hiding out in Kalamazoo – the King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis greeted Car Club attendees and belted out some classic songs for the crowd and even did a duet!
A fantastic time had by one and all, leaving the crowd “All Shook Up.”
